Work you'll do

•Serve as primary party responsible for all data center changes: Configuration and change control, contribute to strategic planning and forecasting, ensure continuity of operations

•Establish operational standards for configuration and change management to include process and procedural documentation and facilitation of stakeholder meetings.

•Establish and bolster existing physical security and access control procedures

•Establish schedules and facilitate planning for implementation of new hardware and decommission obsolete hardware.

•Monitor data center environmental conditions and work with facilities to ensure adequate facility resources to include coordination of additional power/cooling or other resources, as needed.

•Act as liaison to facilities and establish, in conjunction with facilities, routine testing and maintenance calendar to ensure high availability.

•Create and update Visio drawings of network and rack elevation diagrams; substantiate resource requirements from these drawings

•Supervise and assist with implementation changes to including, but not limited to, racking/unracking of equipment and cabling.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years professional experience with 1+ years in Data Center environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong background in equipment lifecycle management and general facility maintenance
  • Active Secret Security Clearance required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
