IT Project Manager

Job Summary

Amentum is currently seeking an IT Project Manager to support an IT Managed Services program for the Department of Energy. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems for National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia (NTESS).

As part of the Mission Computing Services (MCS) team you shall provide IT support to the Telecom Infrastructure group. The vision is to deliver secure next generation technical information solutions for the nation’s nuclear deterrence lifecycle. The mission is to provide connected, innovative, digital solutions for the success of the group component science, engineering, and production.

• Typically oversee scope, cost and schedule of a project; working on large projects or a significant segment of large and complex projects.
• Analyze new and complete project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools solution components, and financial management of the project.
• Provide applications systems analysis and long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities for necessary support resource.
• Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must have a Bachelors Degree and 5 years of experience OR Associates Degree and 9 years of experience OR a High School Diploma / GED and 13 years of experience.
• Must be able to obtain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q clearance and maintain it for the life of the contract.

• Candidate must reside in Albuquerque area as work will be performed onsite. Some remote work will be allowed.
