The Business Analyst Consultant will be responsible for conducting and managing the Medicare Member Impact Reporting and Remediation (MIRR) process. This activity includes developing reporting models, reviewing member and business impact reports, and presenting information for operational assessment and planning. This role will support operational and strategic business activities by developing, enhancing, and maintaining effective business solutions through analysis of data and business processes. The Business Analyst Consultant will work in close partnership with UnitedHealthcare Government Programs in issue resolution and remediation as it relates to Pharmacy Benefits Management. This position will report to the Director of Operations for Service Delivery & Execution for OptumRx as an individual contributor.

This position may require extended hours and or weekend coverage during the Medicare Part D peak season (January 1 - February 28) timeframe. Position may also require extended hours outside of peak season to support event driven issues on a case-by-case basis.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and manage the Medicare Member Impact Reporting and Remediation (MIRR) process
  • Organize and prioritize multiple MIRR projects under tight deliverable timeframes with superior quality results
  • Present results of analysis to leaders across both ORx and UnitedHealthcare
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to increase the timeliness and accuracy of initiatives, and/or increase resource efficiency
  • Foster positive working relationships with key business functions within OptumRx and within UHC Government Programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent BA work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management
  • 2+ years of experience with issue resolution
  • Highly organized with excellent communication, time/project management, critical thinking, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS office tools (Word, Excel, and Outlook required, Access desired, PowerPoint desired)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of RxCLAIM and/or pharmacy claim processing
  • Working knowledge of the Prior Authorization process
  • Knowledge of Medicare Part D Transition policy

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
