Primary Responsibilities:

  • Transforms client requests and business objectives into product features and capabilities
  • Leads updates and enhancements to the PPS software products
  • Leads updates and enhancements to our SaaS Cloud solutions
  • Writes detailed User Stories that each specific change should cover
  • Develops acceptance criteria and test data to ensure changes cover all possible conditions
  • Makes decisions about how the product should behave when inquired
  • Maintains environments to validate new and existing PPS functionality for testing and troubleshooting.
  • Drafts and reviews product documentation
  • Responds to assigned client inquiries/tickets without support
  • Puts processes in place to prevent any issues from reoccurring
  • Facilitates meetings between developers, Systems Analysts, other Business Analysts, and Product Managers
  • Provides support and mentors other analysts
  • Delivers informal training to others about our products
  • Works with less structured, more complex issues
  • Serves as a resource to others

Our products are complex with a lot of moving parts. The challenge is meeting evolving regulatory and client needs with continuous product updates. You'll be expected to take our product line in new and innovative directions using your skills and collaborating extensively with your colleagues. Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a product owner/analyst
  • 2+ years of experience in supporting software products
  • 2+ years of experience writing and/or drawing requirements
  • 2+ years of experience with SDLC processes and tools (ex: JIRA, Rally, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Familiarity with API’s
  • Familiarity with claims processing software
  • Familiarity with SaaS (software as a service)
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
