Primary Responsibilities:

  • Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care, and concern with every interaction.
  • Capture, organize and evaluate the current EMR state for future acquisition entities
  • Plan future state of EMR environment which meets the business needs
  • Manage integrations utilizing standard IT Project Management principles
  • Coordinate on-site and remote resources for go-live support
  • Ensure preparedness for technology change and new product intake to operational support
  • Ensure end-user preparedness for technology change via clear communications planning
  • Collaborate with Operations, onboarding PM, onboarding staff, IT, and IT project management team
  • Develop a EMR data migration strategy
  • Develop, generate, and update progress reports for each project
  • Own the management of relationships with key business and IT stakeholders
  • Align with regional and national ways of working
  • Devise and drive Automation and process improvement opportunities
  • Plan and communicate potential training gaps
  • Ensure team awareness of upcoming technology changes and their impact
  • Monitor and adjust the workload for the team by establishing clear priorities
  • Establish and update clear accountabilities with partner teams
  • Establish onboarding procedures including onboarding all staff into the Optum systems
  • Interface with applications team and vendors to improve onboarding experience for staff
  • Understand workflows of current EMR in preparation of moving to company EMR system
  • Help with Basic onboarding training and go lives. How to log into systems not detailed EMR training
  • Applies knowledge of managed care operating environment and underlying systems data to all major production systems used for delivery of reporting services to internal and external clients
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with both internal/externals customers at the senior management and executive level in order to influence project teams and gain consensus on the selection of the most viable solutions. The position acts as a key team member to both IT and the assigned business unit
  • Uses strong critical thinking skills along with managed care, or physician office business knowledge to have insight and understanding of business concepts, tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the contact of the company’s business.

  • Plan future state of the integrated acquisition environment which meets the business needs
  • Manage integrations utilizing standard IT Project Management principles
  • Coordinate on-site and remote resources for go-live support
  • Ensure preparedness for technology change and new product intake to operational support
  • Ensure end-user preparedness for technology change via clear communications planning
  • Collaborate with Operations, onboarding PM, onboarding staff, IT, and IT project management team
  • Develop and improve infrastructure integration strategies
  • Tracks progress and notifies management of issues that require escalation, and assists with resolving or coordinating the resolution of system and process issues
  • Develops and maintains project plans, and manages specific tasks to ensure project success
  • Collaborates on and oversees various projects as assigned that are cross-functional in nature
  • Leads or assists in the development of IT communication and business training materials, processes, and procedures related to infrastructure integration of new clinical acquisitions
  • Conducts training sessions and serves as an IT subject matter resource for medical directors, providers,
  • clinical staff, and support staff in areas related to infrastructure changes
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited university, or 4 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience working in a healthcare industry or clinical environment
  • 3+ years of experience conducting training sessions for new products or systems
  • 3+ years of experience working with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software platform, preferably Project coordination experience
  • All Scripts (Touchworks / APM)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in systems design and database work or experience implementing and supporting third party applications
  • HEDIS/STAR experience
  • Informatics or data analytics experience
  • Familiarity with multiple system development lifecycles (SDLC’s)
  • Experience with major systems implementation experience
  • Strong writing skills with ability to generate professional communications and training material
  • Problem solving skills; the ability to systematically analyze problems, conduct root cause analysis, draw relevant conclusions and recommend/implement appropriate courses of action

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Ability to think logically and use problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with very detailed information
  • Current driver’s license, car insurance and a dependable vehicle
  • Minimum Travel of 15
