As a Product Analyst at Optum, you will be responsible for the inbound product definition activities. Your primary function will require you to develop functional specification from customer (internal or external). You will drive the detailed requirements specifications and feature prioritization for the product. You’ll work with stakeholders to define product roadmaps, providing technical and market insights into the process. You will be the expert in the overall capabilities of the product and will work closely with development team to rolling out a successful product.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with onsite & offshore teams for the requirements analysis & solutions design
  • Play a leading role in crafting user stories and sign off on feature acceptance, all the while adhering to the agile process constituted for the managing the project
  • Interface with the engineering team for assessing capabilities and alternatives and own the definition and prioritization of product releases
  • Adhere to healthcare standards and workflows while crafting the product features/user stories
  • Create release notes, demo scripts, conduct feature demos for stakeholders, and conduct product demos for stakeholders/clients
  • Manages a specific good or service available externally on the market that can be sold stand-alone, and that directly generates revenue
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Skillset:

  • Well versed with Specialty & its workflow. The candidate should be an Specialty Subject Matter Expert, understands the workflow and is able to suggest enhancements to existing feature set
  • Work with the Onshore team, understand the businesses needs and translate them into features and user stories & good understanding of Agile (OSAM) process
  • Possess good understanding of US Healthcare & Rx Standards & their software implications, plus provider or payer workflows. Knowledge of specialty drug business process
  • Ample experience in working in distributed or co-located agile teams. Be able to scale up, perform task independently
  • Significant experience in the RxClaim PBM Order management

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • MBA/BE/B.Tech B.Pharm/M.Pharm with sound knowledge of Business Analyst/Product Owner
  • 5-9 years of xperience in Software Industry as product owner, business analyst and Product manager
  • Qualification & Experience
  • Astute logical reasoning & and good communication skills.
