The Associate Business Systems Quality Analyst on the Data Warehouse and Analytics team is an exciting opportunity to support the organization as part of a team that delivers valuable insights from data.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create queries to test and validate data loaded into the Enterprise data warehouse
  • Create test plans
  • Actively participates in ensuring high quality solution and applies understanding of testing methodologies
  • Validate results and test functionality of Dashboards
  • Tracks, identifies and promptly reports issues that may affect solution quality and bring forward improvement recommendations
  • Document and communicate translation of business requirements into technical specifications
  • Create, maintain and prepare UAT documentation, communication, and process workflow
  • Provide consistent and repeatable testing process for UAT; may work with business analyst to execute test scenarios
  • Participate in User Acceptance testing for multiple applications on varying platforms, including:
    • Analyze and decompose business requirements to extract test requirements
    • Developing / implementing / executing effective test plans and test cases
    • Testing of system requirements and enhancements and/or fixes
    • Analyzing data, researching & troubleshooting issues to define root cause and providing results
    • Logging & tracking defects to closure
    • Monitoring, measuring and communicating test results
    • Help ensure new system requirements/enhancements/changes are tested thoroughly, accurately and delivered in a timely manner
  • Improve processes and reduce post implementation issues
  • Experience in and actively participates in the adopted Agile software methodology
  • Provide estimates on level of effort required; breakdown the effort of work and type of technical resources needed
  • Perform tasks within the SDLC, such as: writing user stories, writing requirements, assist with Sprint planning, and conducting QA and user acceptance testing
  • Work closely with Project Team to identify risks early
  • Proactively identifies patterns in issues and researches root-cause to improve overall quality
  • Provide end user support/work requests through a Help Desk queue

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science MIS, Business or other related field or Equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience (4+ years combined total)
  • 2+ years of User Acceptance testing experience for enterprise-level applications, including writing test cases from business requirement and executing/validating test results
  • 1+ years experience with SQL data query language
  • 1+ years SQL Query writing experience and knowledge of simple to moderate table joins
  • Ability to conduct meaningful data analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a liaison between IT professionals and operational stakeholders & able to understand complex business processes that cross many functional operational units
  • Experience creating reports, views and dashboards in Tableau
  • Experience creating ad-hoc data requests
  • Experience working with multiple data sources
  • Ability to derive key insights based off of Tableau visualization and Data Analysis
  • Understanding of complex solutions and differences between software development and software configuration
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs
