The Optum Clinical Technology Solutions (CTS) Digital team is building an innovative, comprehensive digital enablement services capability and framework utilizing the collective expertise of our clinical, consulting, delivery, technology, and operations teams. We are bringing together some of the leaders in the industry to further our mission of making the health system work better for everyone. The Digital Enablement Readiness Lead will be responsible for assisting organizations in the transition from their manual processes and existing technology platforms to innovative digital health capabilities. The focus of this role is to work with the application teams, operational stakeholders, communications/marketing teams, informatics, and service excellence groups to ensure client end-users both internal and external are equipped with the full knowledge of upcoming workflow, technical changes, and new capabilities. The goal is to ensure the organization is well-prepared for the digital enhancements, empowering them to assume ownership of the new processes, and facilitate a enable a well-planned transition.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate readiness activity from change/workflow analysis, communications, marketing, training, go-live and ongoing performance metrics
  • Establish and maintain solid relationships with operational leaders, marketing/communications and informatics teams and provide them with direct support for the implementation and go-live phases of the digital enablement projects
  • Collaborate with the project team, subject matter experts, training, and application teams to guide system changes that reflect an in-depth understanding of the business process and end user requirements (both internal and consumer focused)
  • Partner with training teams on communication and implementation of Super User programs, road shows, user settings labs, and other operational engagement activities
  • Partner with change management and communications/marketing teams to develop, vet, and circulate routine readiness communications to facility leadership and organization staff-at-large
  • Partner with training and application teams on planning and implementation of workflow walk throughs
  • Serve as escalation point for both project team and operations leadership as needed
  • Provide clinic operations expertise to facilitate operational readiness based on future state workflows
  • Partner with implementation leaders to facilitate operational readiness based on future state workflows
  • Partner with implementation leaders to facilitate engagement in governance and advisory committees and communication of issues, recommendations, and resolution paths
  • Support operational champions to facilitate best practice and enterprise design approaches
  • Provide leadership in operational and consumer readiness activities including workflow walk throughs by providing support and guidance to facility leadership for success, planning, and deployment
  • Track progress of projects and ensure all milestones and timelines are met, quickly identifying, and escalating any risks to meeting these milestones and timelines
  • Assist in coordination of go-live engagement activities and partner with Super Users and go-live support resources

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR 5+ years of relevant experience
  • 3+ years combined experience across HealthCare and /or IT domains with at least 1 of those years working in Digital Health
  • Intermediate proficiency with Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Ability to travel up to 50% annually, USA domestic locations. Travel may be lower depending on project requirements
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Data Science or Healthcare
  • Certification in Service Management, Project Management, or Business Analysis
  • Consulting experience - client management and delivery
  • Patient Management and EHR application knowledge to facilitate build, testing, support, and training activities for digital enablement workflows
  • Proven success in internal and external communication and relationship management with all levels of expertise from administrative to executive
  • Possess excellent team management, communication and leadership skills and a commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion and a culture of innovation
