The Associate Business Analyst for Life Sciences manages ongoing tasks and commitments critical to the business’s long-term operational success. This individual will oversee the procedure and systems of information flow and management, as well as identify opportunities to create efficiencies and address gaps in operational coverage, business process, and personnel. They will serve as the Life Sciences representative for all operations-related meetings and initiatives at the Optum Insight level. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, this employee will prepare agendas and build decks for major meetings such as Management Team Meetings, Town Halls, and Quarterly Business Reviews. They may also help leaders manage special projects and facilitate logistics, research, and content creation as needed. Communication skills, both oral and written, are critical to this role as this individual will be in charge of distilling and cascading key information from Optum Insight leadership to Life Sciences teams, drafting communications from Leadership, reporting out to Leadership and Management Teams on operational updates, and keeping Life Sciences teams informed of process changes.

Additional duties and responsibilities of this role include management of the annual Net Promoter Score (NPS) survey process, new employee requisition governance, workforce strategy processes, Inclusion & Diversity initiatives, and Monthly Business Review updates.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of demonstrated operations experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, experience developing new processes
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing Net Promoter Score survey process or similar client feedback measurement tools
  • Ability to manage high-level relationships across a large enterprise and influence without formal authority
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely to leadership
  • Ability to “manage up” and hold others accountable to timelines and objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong development, analytical, organization, problem-solving, and follow-through skills
  • Ability to support innovation and work in a changing environment
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities and projects

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
