About the Opportunity This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [SC00] The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need. This option is not available in the states of California, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, New York, Oregon or Washington at this time. This position is responsible for assessing business processes to determine suitability for the Azure platform, creating documentation and liaising with business units to ensure the platform solution accurately solves the business need. The individual should have a deep passion for innovation. Responsibilities Include: - Collaborate with technical leads on Innovation & Digital Factory squads on cloud and infrastructure support required to deliver digital products - Work directly with members of the Platform Squad, including Azure Cloud Engineers, on planning work in support of implementing and using a modern technology stack - Educate and communicate the value of the Platform Squads capabilities and technologies to key stakeholders - Determine the feasibility of Platform opportunities with support of Cloud Engineers - Collaborate with business units on business case creation, including estimates for the value of the solution, cost to achieve, and implementation effort - Update or develop detailed process documentation required for development - Gather solution requirements, then collaborate with Cloud Engineers on solution design - Serve as a translator between Platform Cloud Engineers and Product Owners and SMEs - Support the Platform Squad by facilitating system access and build requests, facilitating user acceptance testing, and assisting with Platform Showcase. - Assist with change management, including the development of training documentation and delivery to end users. - Look for opportunities for enhancement and continuous improvement - Communicate any identified project risks and issues to Innovation & Digital Factory squads and key stakeholders Qualifications include: - Bachelors degree in a related discipline, with a minimum of 4 years current-relevant work experience required. In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years relevant work experience required. - Relevant work experience will include experience analyzing and assessing business processes. - Recent experience and understanding of Azure and its technology. - Experience in business analysis, scoping business requirements, and identifying scope change and system impacts. - Experience documenting use case requirements, entity relationship diagrams, process decomposition diagrams, and workflows. - Experience identifying, assessing, and documenting processes for Azure is preferred. - Experience with Azure and cloud platforms is a plus, Terraform and Azure DevOps preferred. - Strong solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. - Experience providing customer-focused support, both internally and externally. - Experience in building positive relationships and working with peers cross-functionally, demonstrating teamwork and collaboration. - Ability to appropriately manage conflict and work through difficult situations as needed. - Utility industry experience is a plus. - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio). - Good communication skills with the ability to present non-technical details to a technical audience. - Experience working within Agile methodologies is preferred. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
