You will advise clients and business partners who are responsible for managing and delivering IT related services, in order to define business drivers and associated IT capabilities with the services required.You will help our clients understand that technology can affect the way they think and see the world. Finally, you will combine your depth of business analysis and consultancy skills to contribute to the successful delivery of Watson Health projects.Ideally you have a good understanding of case management and associated business processes of government social enterprises. You also have experience of the challenges of implementing a Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) minimizing the level of customization required by a client.To be successful in this role you need to be passionate about technology, how it can improve outcomes for citizens, and have a proven track record in the delivery of end to end enterprise solutions.Primary Responsibilities* Research, analysis, definition and documentation of customer requirements for the IBM SPM application functionality. Analysing the business requirements of our customers and then writing the functional documentation & use cases required by the technical consultants who customise our software.* Act as the point of contact on-site for business related questions and issues that arise and require clarification and will liaise closely with the senior technical consultants.* Act as a focal point for the design and development team when discussing design options and the various merits of different approaches.* Uphold the same professional standards and work ethic expected of all our consultancy staff and to lead by example when working with less experienced staff.* Build a high level of trust and confidence with partners and clients in relation to their knowledge of the business issues at hand and of IBM SPM and the proposed solutions.* Take ownership and responsibility for specific project component or area* Act as a mentor and coach to other less experienced members of the team.We live in a moment of remarkable change and opportunity. Join us.Duties* Educate system integration (SI) partner and customer staff by sharing detailed functional knowledge regarding the IBM SPM product and applicable solution and enterprise modules.* Advise on the functional extensions as necessary to address client specific requirements.* Working on site as the IBM SPM functional subject matter expert, giving demonstrations of the software capabilities, performing fit/ gap analysis and advising on the best approach to implementing the IBM SPM product set from a functional perspective.* Assist in the determination and documentation of the most effective methodologies and best practice procedures.* Provide an expert knowledge of all aspect of the IBM SPM product including the enterprise framework, enterprise and solution modules and associated business and technical services.* Working with the business and functions to ensure alignment to business processes and operations by determining the core processes in any program type and identify the common ones.* Provision of impartial analysis of the capability of potential solutions during down-selection phase.* Hands on business analysis duties including defining and documenting business requirements and business design.* Extract, prioritise and document requirements including:o Use case and/or process flowso User Storieso Data definitions and/or logical data modelso Screen design and story boardingo QA and test case development* To scope Proofs of Concepts (POCs), if necessary with technical support.* Development of customer presentation material.* Lead JAD sessions when required.* Analyze requests from Clients and determine whether they are appropriate and definitive requirements.* Complete detailed work estimates and the appropriate scheduling activities.* Work with the technical team to accurately and clearly articulate the requirement concepts and to ensure nothing is overlooked.* Assist in the determination and documentation of the most effective methodologies and best practice procedures.Required Professional and Technical Expertise* Experience in a senior business consultant role working for a large information technology consulting firm OR experience working for a public sector agency, in the delivery of information technology related projects for the Social Security and/or Human Services marketplace.* Experience with business process analysis (Use Cases and/or process flows) and mapping (Gap Analysis) techniques.* Ablity to identify and compare the best processes or delivery methods to use, including measuring and evaluating outcomes and advising the team on the best approach.* Ablity to help teams to manage and visualise outcomes, prioritise work and work to agreed minimum viable product (MVP), print and scope.* Responsible for investigative work into problems and opportunities in existing and new services. Drives the analysis and collection of information and creation of to create recommendations for service improvements.* Analyses large amounts of complex information and uses it to produce solutions.* Ablity to analyse current services and processes, and identify and implement opportunities to optimise these.
