More About the Role:
This ITSM opportunity on the U.S. Navy’s Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) will allow participation on a high-visibility DoD program that provides engineering support to the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), the largest information technology (IT) network in the world. Under SMIT, the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
Leidos is seeking IT Service Management (ITSM) analysts to support efforts for SMIT; a successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating the business processes and procedures and develop recommended changes for the areas of change, configuration, release, and deployment management. These processes will enforce accurate configuration accounting and authorized changes on the systems.
What You'll Get to Do:
•Collaborate with stakeholders on the business processes related to change, configuration, release, and deployment management to address process gaps and optimize process execution.
•Determine process steps to prevent unauthorized system changes during the change management process.
•Address somewhat complex technical issues/problems encountered with the release and deployment process using internal best practice and through collaboration with colleagues.
•Create remediation reports for unsuccessful changes including solutions to any technical problems encountered that require depth of technical knowledge.
•Recommend process changes based on auditsi of the configuration of the NMCI network using a configuration management system.
•Evaluate concurrent system changes in the release and deployment management process for impact based on technical knowledge of the NMCI systems.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
-Requires BS degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
-US Citizen and DoD Secret Clearance.
•Knowledge of change, configuration, release and deployment management processes.
•Knowledge of requirements management and traceability.
•ITIL V3 Foundation Certification.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Experience with Navy Process Reference Model (NPRM).
•Experience with USMC Enterprise ITSM Framework processes.
•ITIL V3 Master or Expert Certification(s).
