Work you'll do

As a Senior Consultant within our GPS team, you will:

  • Perform project tasks independently, and may direct the efforts of others
  • Provide knowledge in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts or in translating business process needs into technical requirements
  • Participate in and/or lead the development of deliverable content that meets the needs of the client and contract
  • Uses available computer systems resources and personnel to carry out analysis to support management's quest for performance improvement to determine the most useful business solution
  • Implement a comprehensive management plan for each project and hold regular stakeholder meetings to keep all interested parties updated in project progress
  • Determine and document user requirements for business processes and abide by those requirements for future projects
  • Review and analyze information, forecasts, methods, schedules, systems, processes and procedures
  • Design and optimize business processes in support of overall business operations and technology enablement, utilization and adoption
  • Provides coaching to junior staff
  • Contributes to new business proposals and proposal development
  • Manages own personal and professional development; seeks opportunities for professional growth and expansion of consulting skills and experiences

Our GPS team provides expertise to Federal clients facing budgetary constraints by helping them define, implement, and sustain workable improvements within their environment. Our GPS professionals bring strong domain knowledge, and expertise in project management, business process re-engineering, performance management, and operations management to help our clients meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving business landscape.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or other business-related field
  • 6+ years of experience with business architecture, business process analysis, IT program management and change/configuration management.
  • Experience with strategic planning, including with process design
  • Experience in technical requirements gathering and traceability management
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required Security Clearance for this role
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future


Preferred:
  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
  • Experience working with Lean Six Sigma
  • Well versed in Business Process Re-Engineering
  • Previous hands on experience with value stream mapping and predictive modeling
