What you’ll be doing...

You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where new challenges come up regularly and organization is key. You will analyze data and communicate insights and metrics with key partners. You are comfortable working on your own, but also enjoy collaborating. Problems are viewed as puzzles you’d like to solve. You exhibit independent thinking, initiative, follow-up, and follow through with commitments. You have the ability to apply advanced expertise to resolve diverse/complex problems.

  • Conduct extensive research using numerous Verizon databases and the Internet.
  • Collect and analyze data from disparate sources; integrate information and put it together in a logical, high quality report.
  • Ability to comply with any regulatory requirements.
  • Help write, prioritize, and drive functional requirements for internal support systems and participate in user acceptance testing.
  • Draft standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure SOPs are maintained in a timely manner.
  • Support the technical growth of junior team members.

Where you’ll be working

In this worksite-based role, you'll work onsite at a defined location, Ashburn, VA.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Solid understanding of voice and data network metadata, voice and data networks, and circuit design.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to focus accurately and thoroughly on multiple simultaneous research tasks.
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of corporate and regulatory compliance.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills.
  • Highly effective organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high pressure, fast paced environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
  • Ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel for complex queries using advanced functions and formulas to include charting, pivot tables, and pivot reports.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
  • Ability to work independently and identify potentially more effective methods of work operation.
  • Demonstrated initiative, follow-up, and follow through with commitments.
