Business Analyst

Serves as a liaison between the Chubb business community and the Mainframe IT organization to meet Business needs. Works closely with external technicians on all aspects of Mainframe processing. Provides support to Mainframe Application Teams on all aspects of the Mainframe environment. Translates technical business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications in accordance with Chubb and/or industry standards and processes. Educates the IT organization on the direction of the business, and Educates the Chubb Business organization on the direction of the Mainframe

Essential Job Duties

• Provides support to Chubb business by recognizing, analyzing, and resolving complex Mainframe technical issues
• Provide technical support to Mainframe Production Control and scheduling teams
• Provide technical support to Mainframe Application Development teams
• Work closely with Mainframe Application Development for code reviews and to address production issues and related fixes
• Troubleshoot basic errors related to batch processing abends, analyze root causes, and work to derive solutions to ensure issues have been corrected at root cause to improve system integrity and productivity.
• Assist in, or perform Mainframe software uploads
• Participate in testing Software Upgrades
• Implement operating procedures and timely documentation of procedures; ensure implementation is in accordance to standard operating procedures and follows same; escalate errors as appropriate
• Supports Mainframe Print to remote print facilities
• Supports VPS print issues
• Coordinate production problem management
• Coordinate changes to the Mainframe production environment
• Interfaces with ISV Software Vendors
• Coordinates Disaster Recovery Testing for Mainframe environment
• Provides on call 24x7 Support for Mainframe environment
