IT Senior Business Analyst (Remote)

Frequent trips required for the first 6 months.

What you will do:

The Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for understanding business needs and processes and to act as a partnered liaison between the business and the technical team. They will be responsible for providing knowledge and expertise to IT, the business teams and process owners in identifying opportunities for technology and supporting prioritization. They are responsible for building strong collaborative relationships with the Instruments commercial teams with a specific focus on sales and marketing. They are responsible for understanding business processes, eliciting and documenting requirements, and coordinating communication among various business groups and IT technical teams.

• Build and maintain strong relationship with the Divisional sales and marketing teams.

• Partner with business and technical teams to drive consensus on the best solution to business problems and the delivery of new solutions and enhancements.

• Define tangible use cases that align desired technology output to commercial objectives.

• Recommend business process and system changes to improve efficiency and business outcomes.

• Ensure clear communication between business stakeholders and IT technical teams.

• Improve the business analysis function through best practices, process management, mentoring, and education.

• Capture and record functional requirements and ensure resulting technical solutions meet business needs.

What you need:

• Bachelor’s degree required, Business Administration or Computer Information Systems preferred

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience is required

• Experience with process mapping is required

• Experience documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format is required

• Ability to understand, evaluate and recommend changes to business processes is required

• Experience working in an agency-regulated environment (preferably Life Sciences and Medical Devices) or equivalent experience in Banking or Government agencies

• Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies is preferred

• Experience with Salesforce.com, Microsoft PowerBI, SAP Sales Performance Management (Callidus), and/or ModelN preferred

• Experience working with Sales and Marketing teams preferred
