Job Description:

Leidos Military and Veterans Health is seeking a Business Analyst/ICD Analyst to support Veterans Affairs’ Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. This role is a remote position with 100% home office. Must be located within the United States. The Interface Control Document (ICD) Analyst defines the flow of data between the applications, integration and mapping of business processes, and documenting application dependencies in collaboration with the Product Owner, Interface Architect, and VA Legacy technical resource(s). Performs functional allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationships. Leading and providing support to Project Manager in to support VA EHRM Modernization.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING-

Activities ICD Analyst will perform:

  • Collaborate with client, vendor, and VA technical resources to develop the Interface Control Document (ICD), which includes technical interface design specifications, requirements, use case diagrams, architecture diagrams, integration patterns, detailed message components and connectivity security information

  • Help to coordinate design sessions, including taking notes and conducting follow up to close action items

  • Work with technical contacts to identify any data element discrepancies, perform message specification research, and recommend data element mapping

  • Coordinate with technical teams to evaluate test messages against the specifications

  • Maintain the ICD, including coordinating feedback resolution and updates, documentation updates as needed, and document preparation for submission to VA

  • Assist with other related interface project documentation (design summaries, slides, status emails, etc.), as needed

  • Note taking for project meetings, as needed

  • Attend project meetings (daily scrum, sprint review, sprint planning, design sessions, weekly project VA meetings, etc.)

  • Collaborate with Project Manager, IA, and Scrum Master, in defining and maintaining assigned JIRA sprint tasks, with timeline input

  • Attend regular internal team meetings with team leadership

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED-Required Skills:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other relevant field; and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent relevant experience

  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work with the functional areas to identify and maintain all project documents and deliverables

  • Ability to analyze and communicate technical details through documentation

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Experience supporting healthcare information technology projects

  • Experience supporting information technology projects for Veterans Affairs agency

  • Current/Active VA background investigation/VA Access is a plus
