Do it here.What youll be doing...This opportunity is for Military personnel who are current participants of Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 2-2021.The Consultant, Business Operations role will be part of the Strategic Sourcing team responsible for developing, designing and implementing Strategic Sourcing projects, initiatives and continuous process improvements. The Consultant will lead the creation of project plans and deployment of critical projects within the Strategic Sourcing Organization, lead Cross Functional Teams (CFT), and track performance and results, and report out to Senior Leadership. The position is responsible for actively managing multiple time-sensitive, highly visible and complex projects simultaneously; proactively solving issues, conducting assessments, making recommendations and initiating improvements; managing relationships and expectations of a large set of internal stakeholders across different organizations. This role drives the effective use of knowledge across the organization through market insight papers, updates and news flashes to inform the leadership and category sourcing teams. The Consultant will interact and engage directly with the Sourcing Directors, and the Sourcing VP, as well as other senior leaders of the organization. The Consultant will conceptualize, create, design, review and edit project and operational business requirements and manage through completion complex and high priority projects.Another primary focus is to lead the overall implementation and successful adherence with projects and initiatives, including system enhancements, process changes and impacts, communication and training plans, stakeholder experience and analytics. This will require working with the other Global Supply Chain organizations, business customers, finance, IT, systems, legal, regulatory, compliance, risk management, internal audit, global clearance and import/export control amongst other organizations.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Represent Strategic Sourcing on multiple CFTs with the focus on developing and/or improving system and business process efficiencies and effectiveness. This includes championing, developing, managing, driving, and influencing key relationships with stakeholders that are critical to the success of the Global Supply Chain organization. Lead the development of functional capability program for the Strategic Sourcing organization, including documentation of business requirements detailing the organizational capabilities, business transformation changes and functionality of enterprise toolsets to support desired solution. Facilitate discovery sessions with Sourcing Directors and business stakeholders to outline scope, goals, and functional requirements. Manage, direct and help prioritize tasks of VDSI Sourcing Support team, including strategizing on responsibilities and tasks which run through that team to increase efficiencies in Sourcing support processes. Communicate through a variety of reporting formats/vehicles including management reports, executive 1:1s, staff meetings, monthly reviews and operations reviews. Assist in the implementation of other tools created for the Sourcing organization. Recommend and implement continuous improvement ideas related to processes and policies Provide regular scheduled information and respond to ad hoc requestsProgram/Project Management Develop, manage and present project-based updates, strategic sourcing updates and reviews, executive briefings, and operational reviews, including feedback and appropriate reporting on key, process-focused objectives to Senior Leadership.
