The Director of WW Oncology Commercial–Business Development will be responsible for assessing the commercial attractiveness of external opportunities for collaborations, partnerships, licensing, and acquisitions. We are looking for a dynamic, performance-driven candidate that is able to work independently and provide commercial input as BD transacations are being identified and assessed. The candidate must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization, with high expectations and accountability on quality of deliverables. This role will report to Executive Director of the team within the WW Oncology Commercial department.
Partner with BD and cross functional team to identify new opportunities consistent with prioritized Oncology mechanisms
Represent commercial on due diligence efforts for identified opportunities
Lead cross functional matrix team to conduct thorough commercial opportunity assessments tailored to stage of development and size of transactions. Assessments include but not limited to sizing the market potential, prioritizing business opportunities, building competitive landscapes, creating target opportunity profile, and forecasting
Provide commercial input into potential development paths based on unmet need, competitive intensity, and size of opportunity
Partner closely with Business Insights and Analytics function to ensure robustness of assessment including comprehensive assessment of external environment, market research, and forecasting
Provide input into clinical collaborations functions to evolve strategy as pipeline matures
Represent Commercial BD group on Oncology Strategy Team providing external view into tumor and portfolio strategies
Drive preparation for key senior management reviews and presentations
BA/BS required. Advanced degree strongly preferred
8-10 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Access, Medical and Ops
In-depth experience in US, other key markets and/or WW Commercialization desired
Experience in Oncology and partnering with Global Drug Development/Research & Early Development preferred
Strong problem solving and analytical skills: effectively structures business problems; leverages data to identify insights and inform recommendations; leverages key matrix partners
Demonstrated success in mobilizing cross-functional matrix teams to drive optimal business results
Proven ability to prioritize work with autonomy, balance multiple major strategic initiatives simultaneously and drive results with speed
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
