We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Director, Digital Diagnostics & Commercial Dx Development, to lead & commercialize Digital Diagnostic tools, as well as leading the Commercial Dx Development.
The Marketing Director will be responsible for the long-term strategy and building of the portfolio of Commercial Digital Diagnostics, hereunder commercialization of Digital Pathology & Artificial Intelligence (DP&AI) based diagnostic tools & tests to support patient selection for oncology treatments. The role is further responsible for the commercial assessment, valuation and development of new Diagnostics partnerships as well as expanding existing Diagnostics partnership in alignment with the overall global commercial Precision Medicine strategy. Assessment of market opportunities and commercial capabilities of new potential Diagnostics partners, as well as life-cycle strategies is also part of the responsibilities. The Marketing Director work closely with Global Disease Leaders (GDLs) in Global Marketing, Our Company's Research Laboratories, Business Development & Licensing as well as Medical Affairs, Alliance Management, Legal, Procurement etc. The Marketing Director will also engage with diagnostics partners, pharma partners, and other external key stakeholders.
This Marketing Director position requires broad knowledge and experience within Diagnostics (DP&AI) and the mechanisms for market adoption and implementation. The position also requires solid understanding of Diagnostics deal valuation and construction within a broad range of diagnostic technologies, hereunder DP&AI, NGS, IHC, PCR, etc. The marketing Director is expected to possess good foresight of market trends and consequences, understand political and regulatory landscapes, be future oriented and able to articulate risk vs. benefit to create competitive, breakthrough diagnostic partnering strategies.Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of commercial Digital Diagnostics strategy in alignment with Global Disease Leaders (GDLs) and the overall Precision Medicine strategy
Collaborate with Diagnostic Digital companies as well as Diagnostic companies to develop and commercialize Digital Diagnostic tools & tests, Life Cycle Management of tests & instruments etc.
Lead global business & commercial assessment activities including but not limited to partner & opportunity valuations, commercial due diligences, partner selection, negotiations etc.
Collaborate with pharma partners on commercialization strategy, diagnostic partner selection etc.
Work with internal cross-functional partners including Business Development & Licensing (BD&L), Our Company's Research Laboratories, Medical Affairs, Alliance Management, Procurement, Market Access, Finance, Market Research, Communications, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, etc. to deliver timely availability of diagnostic tests in the market
A dynamic leader with significant business acumen and demonstrated leadership in development of diagnostic strategies, collaboration with Digital & pharma partners, valuation of opportunities, negotiations, and entrepreneurship
Possesses inspirational personal leadership qualities that inspire trust, respect, credibility and confidence of peers, colleagues, and diagnostic & pharma partners
Proven ability to effectively lead teams through decision-making processes, hereunder due diligences taking in to account appropriate data analysis and critical information
Ability to drive and manage through organizational change and periods of ambiguity and with a willingness to challenge the status quo
Minimum required education:
Bachelor’s degree required
Master's degree strongly preferred
Required Experience and skills:
A minimum of 7 years of industry (Pharmaceutical and Diagnostics) experience, hereof at least 2 years of pharmaceutical (Rx) and 2 years of diagnostic (Dx) experience
Extensive experience in Diagnostics oncology marketing
Demonstrated commercial leadership in Diagnostics opportunity assessments/valuations, development of Diagnostics strategy, long & short-term business planning
Significant entrepreneurial, result oriented, analytical, problem solving, collaborative skills
Ability to manage agreed time/resources to deliver on goals in a highly paced and ever- changing diagnostic environment
Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, collaboration and communication skills
30% Travel, including some weekends
