Associate Director, Business Analytics
Job Description
The Associate Director, Business Analytics, is responsible for financial processes, expense modeling, and data analysis of key expense categories for the Global Clinical Supply (GCS) organization within our Research & Development Division. The incumbent will participate and lead cross functional teams to define or revise and implement expenses processes. They will identify and incorporate variables with significant modeling impact. They will utilize tools for the communication and reporting of GCS financial projections. This role will operate with minimal oversight, will serve as a key subject matter expert on expenses for GCS locations globally.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Establish and maintain relationships with functional areas to understand and analyze the financial impact of business process changes
Provide detailed analysis, support creative problem solving, and anticipate technical obstacles as they relate to financial aspects of clinical supplies
Extract and utilize data from SAP to define, develop, execute and maintain financial models to analyze and predict expenses
Support special project proposals and execution through analytical services
Develop metrics, track and communicate progress
Review expense requests for alignment with processes, authorizations and financial forecasts
Influence stakeholders for compliance with Standard Business Practices
Provide strategic expertise and thought leadership to business clients and program teams
Represent Business Analytics and GCS during processes and data audits
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Scientific discipline
Minimum of 5 years functional expertise with financial analysis or equivalent analytics
Proven track record of robust analytical skills, effective problem solving, and attention to detail
Results-orientation with the proven ability to execute on collaborative projects and develop subject matter expertise
Expertise in Microsoft Excel
Prior experience with SAP
Prior experience interfacing with international stakeholders and international currencies
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
Knowledge and understanding of Clinical Development or Manufacturing Supply Chain
Strong project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills along with high integrity, credibility, and energy.
Sustained level of high performance while processing detailed high-volume work
