The US Oncology business is a growing and dynamic part of our company. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Associate Director, Oncology Marketing Business Excellence. This position will be responsible for leading efforts to improve our Marketing and supporting processes to help us further drive innovation and streamlined execution. This position will require outstanding leadership in many different areas including analytical assessment and improvement of processes, cross-functional collaboration, and organizational change management.

The position is a Hybrid Role (combination of in-office and work from home ability) that will report to the Director, Oncology Marketing Business Excellence. Office location is Upper Gwynedd, PA.

As the US Oncology organization continues to evolve, this position is designed to be a flexible role that may focus on any aspect of marketing excellence over time based on business needs and/or the capabilities and development needs of the organization. The initial focus of the role is outlined below, but the role could include or shift to other related responsibilities in the future.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Identify, lead, and drive projects to simplify Oncology marketing and supporting processes by defining more streamlined processes and clearer accountability. For example, streamline our company processes to develop Marketing assets and to meet accelerated approval requirements.

  • Identify cross functional process synergies or misalignment, and mobilize resources to improve; challenge the status quo and strive for continuous improvement.

  • Partner with US Market operations teams to embed enterprise-level process improvements within the Oncology business unit; represent the needs of the Oncology Business Unit in developing enterprise-level capabilities and improvements

  • Lead After Action Reviews to quickly diagnose problem areas and implement systematic improvements to address where possible.

  • Attack conflict areas where there is unclear accountability to drive streamlined decision making (e.g., overlapping product launches).

  • Utilize data to identify process improvements. Define actionable target performance metrics for the Oncology Business Unit and specific targets for leadership to monitor and achieve.

  • Deeply understand Office of Prescription Drug Promotion regulatory requirements to address commercial team questions and help streamline resource development.

  • Plan and implement change management efforts for process improvement, as well as key organizational initiatives that impact the Oncology Marketing ways of working.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Commercial experience – deep understanding of the promotional development process; understanding of how a Marketing and Sales organization works

  • Demonstrated ability leading complex cross-functional and -organizational work, with and without authority

  • End-to-end process mindset - can define and develop processes where none exist or redefine where too many steps exist

  • Ability to influence process owners to make necessary changes

  • Helps others understand the Why and helps motivate others to work towards non-traditional approaches

  • Builds relationships that enable dramatic improvements

  • Thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment with significant complexity and business impact

  • Works well in white space

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills, including effective engagement with senior management

Preferred experience and skills:

  • Product launch experience

  • Oncology Marketing experience

  • Change management experience

  • Experience with Lean methodologies. Six Sigma experience is preferred.

  • Process engineering or systems engineering background with experience with business and marketing processes preferred

$117,600.00 - $200,100.00
