Unlike many law and consulting firms, we focus upon a single core competency: mastery of U.S. and global financial regulation.The Director - Sales and Business Development role is responsible for identifying and driving signings across banks and other financial institutions with focus on Promontory's cyber, cloud and operational risk (C2O) solutions. This includes by:+ Maintaining relationships with key contacts in designated account(s) and within market segments, so as to identify needs and market trends with particular focus on cyber, cloud and operational risk (C2O) challenges.+ In support of identifying opportunities for our C2O practice group, establishing and maintaining an optimized range of professional relationships with key decision makers and key influencers, in business units aligned to the solutions we are emphasizing.+ Developing and executing effective sales plans, focused on enabling the marketing, sales and delivery of cloud-related offerings+ Leveraging account relationships to identify issues, working with the C2O Solution Center to map the issues to solutions, setting 'pitch' meetings, developing a robust pipeline and winning business that enables the achievement of signings and revenue plans.+ Collaborating effectively across IBM and Promontory Financial Group to cross-sell, upsell and maximize our account footprint.+ Support the professional development of mid-level and junior staff+ Travel as required to client sites in the United States and internationally. Time spent traveling ranges from 30-100 percent+ Performs additional duties as assigned**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES** :+ 15+ years of experience working in a corporate or commercial bank, consulting firm, or a financial services vendor as a strategic, large account manager, preferably globally, for one or more of the largest financial institutions, focused on their risk and/or compliance functions.+ Demonstrable history of building long-term relationships with customer satisfaction and client retention+ Ability to work well in a changing environment while maintaining discipline to achieve goals+ Polished presentation, interpersonal and networking skills+ Keen to learn and willing to get involved in a wide variety of projects+ Passionate self-starter with the drive to achieve and surpass objectives+ Familiarity with the principles of information security, cloud and/or cyber risk, from a regulatory or industry practitioner perspective.+ Strong reputation for integrity and ethicsRequired Technical and Professional Expertise+ 10+ years of proven successful relationships in the North American banking industry, including rolodex of CRO, CCO and CISO contacts+ 10+ years of proven successful experience in sales and account management+ Knowledge of the key information security, risk and compliance functions within a bank+ Insights and opinions into the applicability of financial technologies such as Cloud, Cognitive, Blockchain, etc.+ Strong leadership qualities as a practice manager and team leader+ Be a thought leader in this spacePreferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ MBA, JD or equivalent industry experience is preferrednot requiredn/aAbout Business UnitIBM Services is a team of business, strategy and technology consultants that design, build, and run foundational systems and services that is the backbone of the world's economy.
