If so, lets talk.The Business Development Executive for IBM's Communications Market is the lead opportunity identifier and qualifier for complex IT managed services opportunities that range in value from $50M to $500M. The BDE is responsible for the identification and development of highly complex information technology solutions while interacting with senior client executives, which can include the CEO, CFO, CIO, Board of Directors and evaluation committees. They are required to have an in-depth understanding of the client's business, goals, strategies and industry trends and directions. The BDE is responsible for identifying, developing and qualifying deals between $50M and $500M in value. This would include leading multi-disciplined teams, and integrating products and services required to meet business needs. These deals are intended to increase IBM's services revenue within the account and may include some, or all, of the following sample of solutions:+ Comms & CSI Market - Strong telecom, media & entertainment and/or energy & utility business knowledge with trusting relationships with existing clients+ Cloud - IBM Cloud, IBM Cloud Private, PaaS solutions including SAP as a Service, cloud Matrix/Hybrid IT, Cloud Object Storage, zOS Cloud+ Systems - IT as a Service, managed services for servers, mainframe, storage, leveraging cognitive analytics and robotics.+ Security - Security as a Service, threat management, ID management, malware defense management+ Network - Network as a Service, telecom expense management, optimization studies, Software Defined Networking, OEM hardware and software procurement, Voice and Data.+ Resiliency - Disaster Recovery as a Service, DR strategy and consulting, high availability environments, cloud managed backup+ Data Center - Strategy, design, implementation, optimization, services to support data centers+ Mobility - Workstation as a Service, Mobile Expense Management, Mac@Work, Service Desk, End User ServicesRequired Technical and Professional Expertise+ Opportunity Identification - Ability to select target clients based on industry trends and performance metrics compared to peer group+ Opportunity Validation - Ability to develop and present compelling value propositions based on business outcomes that generate serious client interest and support+ Opportunity Qualification - Ability to gain support of key decision makers including commitment to proceed to due diligence and full engagement+ Experience in selling and contracting infrastructure and application long-term managed services agreement+ Knowledge of latest technology and industry trends to customize state-of-the-art solutions for banking, capital markets, and insurance clientsPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ NoneAbout Business UnitAt Global Technology Services (GTS), we help our clients envision the future by offering end-to-end IT and technology support services, supported by an unmatched global delivery network.
