The Business Architecture Manager is a critical role within the Hybrid Business Design team in advancing Deloitte's US Consulting-wide New Business Growth agenda. The Manager supports Business Architecture leadership as the strategic counterpart to the Consulting General Manager (GM) of an emerging hybrid (software and services) business. Using an internal corporate innovation approach, this role activates key business constructs among hybrid business leaders - from business models and market validation to monetization and ecosystem strategy. Guiding Practice stakeholders in strategic choices throughout the business lifecycle on these topics, the Manager helps ensure efficiency, scale and success of Deloitte's hybrid business investments.

The Manager supports Business Architecture leadership in refining "Center of Excellence" capabilities, overseeing the continuous improvement of associated methodologies, best practices, and standard documentation. This role helps manage intake and maturation of qualified hybrid businesses, working with other Hybrid Business Design leaders to prioritize workstreams and support effective operations. The Manager leads orchestration of multiple incubation modules for individual hybrid businesses, helping to drive shifts in thinking that inform business plan outcomes. Participation in labs aligned to each module throughout the hybrid business lifecycle also helps inform continuous improvement of standard materials in collaboration with all relevant subject matter experts. The Manager is expected to support, track, and anticipate scheduled priorities to proactively address key business needs. The Manager will also help Practice leadership leverage relevant content in a "self-help" manner through education and advocacy to scale impact of the Business Architecture team.

The Business Architecture Manager is expected to mentor and leverage more junior teammates across related functional teams (including Market Strategy, Pricing/ Monetization, and Ecosystem Strategy) and/or temporary rotations to staff workstreams, cultivating a pipeline of next-gen Business Architecture talent.

Essential functions of this role include:

  • Collaborate with hybrid offering Leadership to activate key business constructs such as monetization strategies, ecosystem orchestration, business models, etc. to inform business plan outcomes
  • Manage incubation module and lab execution to challenge and improve upon ongoing decision-making of Practice leaders as the hybrid businesses mature
  • Provide continuous improvement to hybrid business areas, proactively supporting enhancements to standards, methodology, templates as well as by enabling "self-help" of standard material where appropriate
  • Work with Business Architecture leadership to manage intake and pipeline of qualified businesses, ensuring optimal execution of workstreams
  • Manage multiple commitments/ workstreams simultaneously, navigating and integrating business and technical priorities
  • Actively manage business risks and propose mitigation to leadership as needed
  • Consistently demonstrate strong executive presence and presentation skills, including ability to listen and pivot appropriately
  • Serve as cultivator of next-gen Business Architecture talent, driving specialized business architecture capabilities by leveraging interested and qualified junior talent to support projects as needed

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Economics, Marketing or equivalent field
  • 5-7 years of demonstrated success in fast-paced strategic roles with progressively advancing responsibility in a Business Architecture-related function
  • Foundational knowledge of business models, business model innovation/ incubation, and experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: Market Strategy, Pricing/ Monetization, Finance, Ecosystem Management, and/ or Product Management
  • Skillful executive presence and presentation skills, with demonstrable ability to tactfully and effectively influence upward decision making
  • Proven ability to successfully collaborate with internal stakeholders from various levels and areas across a matrixed organization and drive successful outcomes cross-functionally
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
