We have begun a comprehensive program to streamline processes, enhance systems, realign the organization and add opportunities for personal skill-building and professional growth. This position is part of the VCG Commercial Finance team responsible for preparing financial and economic analysis for senior management to determine the viability of device promotions, loyalty programs, customer incentives and other business growth initiatives. This role will be a key member of the VCG Commercial Profitability & Analysis team responsible for the development of financial planning, analysis and tracking of business profitability KPI’s for the VCG business. You will leverage a thorough understanding of Verizon’s financials and business operations in order to :

  • Lead the Cost of Acquisition (COA) and Cost of Retention (COR) financial analysis and insights; including month end review, CV and Outlook development
  • Responsible for managing the COA/R models and for being the subject matter expert for the logic and data flows
  • Manage the COA/R channel analysis to deliver business intelligence and strategic recommendations to COO
  • Develop the Value Segment COA analysis to ensure accurate COA for Prepaid Core and methodology alignment across all value segment brands (Visible, Tracfone, etc)
  • Partner closely with FPAS to drive quality assurance to improve our profitability models by refining allocation methodologies, ensuring input quality, and delivering accurate business assumptions
  • Assess the impact of strategic financial decisions and present recommendations to leadership.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in SQL.
  • Knowledge of digital finance tools like Python, Thoughtspot, Knime, etc..
  • Experience and familiarity with finance system Performance Management Reporting (PMR) / 1ERP.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A history of partnership and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally to drive results
  • The ability to develop strategic frameworks and roadmaps on project vision, goals and status
  • The ability to work independently and proactively to drive projects from start to completion
  • Experience in Teradata EDW.
  • Strong business acumen
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to analyze the financial profitability of new and existing products and services
  • History of preparing and presenting materials to senior management.
  • Delivered automation and visualization projects as part of finance 2.0 skill sets
  • An MBA or equivalent Masters.
