It is our goal to change the way quality is viewed. Our Quality Metrics & Insights (QMI) Team is looking for an Analytics and Reporting Manager for our Provider Reporting Team. This person will lead a team of experienced data and reporting analysts, must be a change agent who eagerly grasps the challenge of developing innovative solutions that will affect the enterprise.

You must be able to quickly adapt to change in a fluid environment. It's all about quality reporting, analysis and supporting continuous improvement and growth. You'll be challenged to gain buy-in from multiple stakeholders prior. This position plays an important role in the development and implementation of metrics, standardized reporting, and data analysis.

The incumbent must be multifaceted with a strong analytical business process and technical background.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understands quality programs, identifies appropriate reporting solutions and approaches
  • Understands data structure and content, performs detailed data analysis, builds data structures to support decision making and write SQL queries to identify trends and trend drivers
  • Design/develop, program, maintain and publish quality reports which provide actionable insight into key metrics and data points
  • Lead a team in the daily reporting across Provider quality programs and ensures high quality output
  • Act as a thought leader with solid analytic, communication and management skills to lead the building of a portfolio of dashboards
  • Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form
  • Support the quality team in reaching their goals through analysis
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy along with attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to always meet deadlines
  • Proactively identify and communicate opportunities to drive efficiency through application of advanced measurement and attribution - delivered in a clear and actionable way
  • Managing/creating process to onboard front end and backend data into data visualization tools (Tableau)

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with business stakeholders assessing their analytic needs, with hands on experience creating reporting and analysis
  • 3+ years of experience working in positions using analytics as a primary function of their roles or in operations performing report development
  • 3+ years of experience working with relational databases and database structures (SQL, Oracle, Teradata) and data manipulation
  • 3+ years of experience within data visualization; Tableau or Power BI
  • Proficiency with MS Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Healthcare industry experience (ideally in credentialing, provider demographic/contracting, and/or account installation)
  • Experience managing a high performing team
  • Relationship builder having worked in positions that require interfacing with multiple internal teams
  • Excellent analytical capability, oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail with critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
