Consumer Development Manager (Job Number: 2220762 )

Position Summary:

The Consumer Development Manager is responsible for Consumer Revenue and DOP Growth within an operating geography, which would include all Penske Agent Relationships, Agent Prospecting, as well as providing Leadership to the District in regards to all facets of customer satisfaction.

Major Responsibilities:

-Provide company information, operational, results and growth opportunity to Penske rental agents

-Provide training to Agents and Penske associates around consumer phone sales, Penske product lines, and Penske operating processes.

-Providing front line contact with Agent prospects and knowledge of competitive markets

-Training and coaching Penske associates on Customer Satisfaction

  • Support location and rental customers, including rental counter activities as needed

-Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

-At least 2 years of customer service experience required

-2 years of supervisory experience preferred

-Bachelor’s degree required, or at least 2 years of specific Penske Rental experience required

-Valid Driver’s License required

-Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint

-Strong written/verbal communication skills are required

-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.

This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the

ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
