What you'll be doing...

As an AEM Development Manager for the Verizon Consumer Group (VCG) Customer Communications Team, you'll be responsible for driving continuous innovation in our marketing communications platforms. Partnering with our creative, content management, front end development and QA teams, you'll build new features and integrations on our content management systems and campaign execution platforms that enable next-generation personalization and cross-vehicle orchestration for more than 10 billion communications delivered to our customers each year.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing andimplementing AEM based content solutions, including design and development of styling, content models, workflows, templates, bundles, components, servlets caching strategy and content as service.
  • IntegratingAEM with other tools in the Adobe Experience Cloud.
  • Researching and debuging issues within AEM environments and across the Adobe stack.
  • Building and deploying highly scalable SOAP and REST APIs with a deep understanding of Java, JavaScript, J2EE, Servlets, HTML and HTL/Sightly.
  • Working with front-end libraries and frameworks (e.g., jQuery, etc.).
  • Performing end-to-end quality assurance (QA)on new development including CSS/HTML validation, usability and compatibility testing with a keen eye for detail.
  • Building and automatingprocesses to validate email and direct mail templates, and integrations with 3rd party applications.
  • Proactively leading projects, identifying roadblocks and potential solutions before timelines and launch dates are impacted.
  • Prototyping, evaluatingand leadingthe adoption of innovative solutions to address current and future business needs.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Adobe AEM development,with strong Java and JavaScript background.
  • Technical experience building, debugging, and deploying AEM templates, components, and bundles.
  • Experience with JavaScript templating engines, Sightly, HTML, CSS, Granite, Coral UI.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Design, Management Information Systems, or a related IT or technology field.
  • MBA or other Master's degree.
  • Experience in Adobe Campaign, Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Target or equivalent marketing technologies.
  • Strong understanding of web services, integration within AEM.
  • Experience with Sling, Maven, ACS/Adobe Commons.
  • Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Cypress, Selenium, etc.).
  • Experience with HTML and CSS implementations for email.
  • Experience with cloud platform microservices hosted on AWS and Azure.
  • Experience building scalable SOAP and REST APIs

If you are hired into a Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York work location, the compensation range for this position is between $124,000.00 and $230,000.00 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more.
