The primary function for this role is to drive new product strategy and implementing business development initiatives within the VGNA Aftermarket business development team. The role will have responsibility for identifying strategic growth opportunities, developing business cases, and managing the launch of approved initiatives within the NA Aftermarket business. This position will be located in Galesburg, Michigan, or Southfield, Michigan.This role requires extensive knowledge of the industry, understanding of market conditions and trends, knowledge of key customers/vendors and the ability to develop cross functional relationships.In addition this role will require the ability to manage and drive program execution. The role will be responsible for end to end implementation of growth initiatives from negotiations and business deals closing to planning, tracking and executing key program launch activities.Essential Functions:+ Identify business growth opportunities within the NA aftermarket parts and service market that would complement current Eaton VG product lines and customers and drive revenue growth.+ Research and develop ideas for new products and service by evaluating customer needs, market demand and industry trends.+ Evaluate business opportunities by analyzing resource requirements, potential revenue opportunity, business financials and market strategies+ Create comprehensive business case for strategic opportunities by evaluating needs and goals, examining risks and potentials, ensure alignment with oveall company strategic goals and by estimating timing and resource requiremetns for implementation+ Set strategy for negotiation and take lead in the execution of partnerships and commercial agreements with outside companies.+ Lead as the primary business reaource to ensure on time execution and implementation of new product strategies. Working closely with cross-functional counterparts (Sales, Finance, R&D, product management, Manufacturing) and providing project leadership to assure success+ Provide Program Management leadership to mitigate possible setback situations related to achieving program milestones, creative problem solving, high risk areas (e.g., resources, cost, and schedule) and any other program launch isseus .+ Maintain and develop access to customer requirements and needs, supporting contract development and pricing strategy for Aftermarket, and executing competitive analysis, market research projects, and benchmarking.+ Participate in industry events to represent Eaton with customers aimed at customer satisfaction and sales growth. QualificationsBasic Qualifications+ Bachelors of Degree in a relevant field+ Minimum of 5 years experience working for a manufacturing or distribution company+ Previous business development experience creating and launching new products and relationships+ Ability to travel: 10% - 25%Required Traits+ Experience in financial analysis especially in the areas of sales growth, profitability, and cost+ Strong business acumen and strategic agility.+ Ability to perform project economic payback analysis.+ Understanding of competitors strategies, technologies, and capabilities+ Project management skillsPreferred Qualifications:+ MBA degree+ Aftermarket industry experienceWe make what matters work.
