We are looking for a talented Software Development Manager with DevOps and Software Engineering experience to join us. This area of Engineering is responsible for the technical design, service implementation and support of one of the world's largest and most interconnected set of data centers. If you are a talented professional who is passionate about technology, seeks responsibility, thrives when empowered and understands the importance of personal accountability, we want to talk to you!The successful candidate will work as a Software Development Manager as part of the IBM Platform Services Compute team with a focus on the following key responsibilities:+ Provide functional direction to a team of software engineers.+ Work closely with them to ensure they have what they need, remove impediments and enable them to meet commitments.+ Provide technical leadership and guidance.+ Work across functional teams to drive quality deliverables.+ Build, grow, lead, and mentor the team.+ Work within a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery development model.+ Engage with the team in a daily collaborative style.+ Foster a culture of continuous improvement.+ Work closely with the execs and other development managersRequired Technical and Professional Expertise+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline;+ Minimum 7 years' experience in Software Development or Software Engineering;+ Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Team Lead or management experience;+ Minimum of 2 years' experience with Agile/DevOps Development Practices;+ Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written); Previous Project Management Experience+ Good organizational skills; and the ability to multi-task.Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline;+ Cloud Development experience;+ Minimum of 10 years' experience in Software Development or Software Engineering; including 5 years technical team lead experience.+ Minimum of 5 years' experience with Agile/DevOps Development Practices;+ Previous 3 years project management experience or PMP certified.NoneAbout Business UnitDigitization is accelerating the ongoing evolution of business, and clouds - public, private, and hybrid - enable companies to extend their existing infrastructure and integrate across systems.
