Do it here.What youll be doing...Verizon is looking for a senior level product oriented professional to work closely with all of the partners in the software delivery lifecycle. This engagement will be focused on ensuring all aspects of product strategy is aligned with technical enablement. The goals of this position revolve around delivery of roadmap functionality. Aspects of product strategy include: reliability, scalability, functional compliances, as well as latency performance targets and predictable resource consumption. It is expected that the role will require various architectural skills, including: collaboration with development on high-level solutioning, module level interface specifications, purpose-built delivery packages generic enough to facilitate multiple verticals within the same functional genre and documentation.These technologies will usher in the 4th industrial revolution where companies, big and small, will redefine the way they work through automation and real-time insights into their business processes. The massive bandwidth, device density, ultra-low latency, and battery efficiency of 5G coupled with edge compute will empower people, devices, and systems to interact efficiently and safely in a highly automated environment.+ Work with the development communities on different high-level solutions designed to enable different managed solutions.+ Be a critical part of the Verizon Business Group organization that owns the business model and P&L, feature development and prioritization of the product roadmap, customer segmentation and pricing, and demand generation for impactful new products.+ Work across engineering teams to ensure the alignment between product descriptions and technical implementations.+ Partner with the leaders of the organization to ensure the developer experience, programming model, scalability and reliability promises, and cost efficiency delight our customers.+ Apply your knowledge of architecture best practices to ensure the solution design is capable of delivering on very stringent E2E latency requirements.+ Drive product development across teams (primarily Engineering, Customer Design/Experience, Operations, Product Management, Business Development, and Marketing) by developing a message/data flow model oriented around CX/UX.+ Evaluate industry innovations and technology platforms and identify product partnership and collaboration opportunities to accelerate and or address gaps in the product portfolio.+ Author collateral, FAQs, white papers, and presentations that can be leveraged across Verizon, external partners, and customers.+ Performs project management activities such as planning, sizing, configuration, resources and scheduling.What were looking for...You are passionate about solving customers problems by building products that make a positive impact by leveraging the latest emerging technologies. You have the ability to interact with all levels including senior level executives therefore you are an exceptional communicator (both written and verbal).Youll need to have:+ Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.+ Six or more years of relevant work experience.Even better if you have one or more of the following:+ A degree in network design and/or engineering field.+ Eightor more years of software architecture with emphasis on real-time development.+ Experience working on large-scale software projects.+ Experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design.+ Experience developing software utilizing various coding languages including: Interpreted, Functional, Compiled, Procedural, Scripting, Markup, Logic-based and Object-Oriented Programming Languages.+ Experience with Kafka and TIBCO Enterprise Message Service Architecting, designing and building distributed systems, enterprise services, and standalone applications using Waterfall and Agile Development methodologies.+ Experience analyzing code for weaknesses and errors, and overseeing plans to improve them.+ Experience designing secure software systems based upon industry-specific specifications.+ Experience with multithreaded implementations and performance analysis.+ Experience with Angular,Bootstrap,jQuery,JavaScript, and, HTML/CSSbuilding cross-platform web applications.+ Experience with Docker,Kubernetes,Microsoft Azureand AWS.+ Experience leading/supervising multiple projects and overseeing customized development of processes simultaneously+ Knowledge of CI/CD tooling.+ Knowledge of JAVA and JAVA EE, Node.js, JSON/REST, WebSocket.+ Knowledge of web applications, cybersecurity and open source technologies.+ Knowledge of structured and unstructured databases.+ Industry knowledge in Retail, Healthcare, Financial Services, Logistics/Supply Chain.+ Knowledge of Cloud technologies, telecoms and IoT Business Models.+ Knowledge of emerging technologies (AI/ML, AR/VR, blockchain, robotics, IoT, etc.).CompensationOur benefits are designed to help you move forward in your career, and in areas of your life outside of Verizon. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more.
