Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Manager, Core Business Operations, Core Industry Solutions in Atlanta, Georgia and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Manage software advisory and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Evaluate the technology needs of an organization, developstrategies to increase the company's profitability. Design and implement plans to comply with legislation and ensure business growth. Manage day-to-day interactions with executives and sponsors and develop and maintain contact with top decision makers. Manage and deliver components of engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business solutions for large companies. Lead aspects of the proposal development process and contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Manage, develop, and mentor staff, assess technical performance, and provide year-end reviews. Perform role of counselor and coach, actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities, provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Improve internal processes, and promote knowledge sharing in the team by contributing to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence. Implement the current state of industry standards and best practice and advise stakeholders on relevant technical issues for their business area. Help client explore new opportunities in digital transformation. Anticipate stakeholder needs, and develop and discuss potential solutions, even before the stakeholder realizes they are required. Navigate the complexities of global teams and engagements. Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks. Oversee business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new and existing clients.

  • 80% travel required nationally.

Requirements

Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or a related field and three (3) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) and five (5) years of progressive related work experience. Must also have three (3) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Leveraging Agile and Waterfall methodologies to work across all phases of the project delivery and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for designing, developing, testing, and implementing packaged and custom solutions for web-based applications for enterprise-level clients in the Insurance industry;
  • Analyzing and documenting current-state systems, processes and environments to support project design of future-state/to-be systems, processes and environments, utilizing technical architecture, process documentation, and Project Management documents, including project business case, RACI matrix, project communication plan, change request management, RAID logs and project schedule;
  • Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, analyze client requirements, and translate requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that meet client needs, utilizing Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), backlog analysis and HP Mercury;
  • Leading, participating in, and supporting the design and development of project solutions, utilizing GuideWire InsuranceSuite, Microsoft (MS) Visio, MuleSoft, XML (Extensible Markup Language), SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol), REST (Representational State Transfer), SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture), microservices, Java, J2EE (Java Platform, Enterprise Edition), and Atlassian Bamboo;
  • Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverable status to ensure timely project delivery and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders, utilizing Jira, HP ALM (Application Life Cycle Management), HP Mercury, and MS PowerPoint;
  • Managing team members in client engagements to manage client deliverables and drive high-quality results;
  • Coordinating the project responsibilities of cross-functional onshore and offshore team members to ensure efficient completion of project tasks, utilizing Jira and Salesforce;
  • Supporting Systems Integration (SIT), Automation, Load, and User Acceptance (UAT) testing to ensure successful design and implementation, utilizing HP Mercury, HP LoadRunner, and Selenium;
  • Utilizing Jira, MS Project Management and MS Task Planner, Resource Planner, Project Management, Insurance Domain, Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Java, and J2EE to train end users to design and deliver solutions across the Insurance domain, including risks, premiums, losses, and processing; and
  • Supporting business development activities, including proposal development and responses to Requests for Proposals.
  • 80% travel required nationally.
