Stryker has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Business Data Governance. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a new team in building a data governance program across a dynamic growth organization!

What you will do

  • Enable the implementation of the master data governance framework, with a focus on improving data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to behaviors, policies, standards, principles, metrics, processes, related tools, and data architecture.

  • Foster a culture in the Business Data Governance team focused on all aspects of employee development, including the oversight of goal setting, sharing of best practices, workload balancing, teambuilding, and professional development.

  • Partner closely with the Enterprise business process leads and systems implementation organizations to enable efficient and effective end-to-end business processes.

  • Influence key business partners to build consensus, make decisions, and execute plans to implement and support master data standards.

  • Design, develop and deliver training.

  • Design, develop, and implement risk mitigation and management plans.

  • Focus on the development and engagement of talented subject matter experts, building domain competency within the team and across the enterprise.

  • Drive harmonized best practice processes across all divisions and geographies.

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or IS/IT required.

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Quality, Data Governance, or Data Management functions.

  • 4+ years of people management and leadership experience.

  • Advanced analytic skills including SQL, data visualization, and database dependencies.

  • Experience configuring data quality rules and dashboards in Informatica, SAP EIM, Collibra, or comparable tool.

  • Strong foundation in SAP S/4 Hana and supporting modules, as well as diverse knowledge with regards to multiple ERP platforms (e.g. Oracle, JDE).

  • Strong leadership, communication, collaboration skills and a global, enterprise mindset.

  • Well versed in data quality best practices.

  • Ability to think strategically while operating tactically to implement global data standards and global technical/process solutions.

  • Ability to meet the rigorous deadlines of a growth company; ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities, coordinate, and manage multiple projects.

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally in a global matrix structure and influencing peers and stakeholders.

  • Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues while addressing root cause issues and preventing repeated issue.

  • Previous leadership of highly skilled professionals required.

  • Experience with ERP implementations, data mapping, cleansing, and migration management.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to deliver a common message tailored to the specific audience.

  • CDMP, CIMP or IQCP certifications highly desired.

  • Fluency in English required.
