Job Description

The IT Business Analysis Senior Manager is responsible for building strong collaborative relationships with the GQO Procurement teams with a specific focus on Business Analytics and innovative procurement platforms. The Senior Manager will work closely with the GQO Procurement IT Business Partner to ensure consistency in the customer relationship. The Senior Manager will be responsible for providing knowledge and expertise to department heads and process owners in identifying opportunities for technology and supporting prioritization. The Senior Manager will work closely with the business to understand complex business needs and processes and to act as a liaison between the business and technical teams.

The Business Analysis Senior Manager will establish and improve business analysis processes and mentor business analysts. They are responsible for understanding business processes, eliciting, and documenting requirements, and coordinating communication among various business groups and IT technical teams for critical and complex projects. Individuals in this position understand business processes, have experience working with multiple technologies, and have demonstrated the ability to work with business users at all levels in the organization.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationship with the global business teams and act as a liaison between multiple stakeholders across the GQO organizations, specifically procurement.
  • Build a strong understanding of the procurement processes (including sourcing, risk management, performance management and traditional purchase-to-pay) within the Global Quality and Operations (GQO) organization and apply this understanding to IT strategies and implementations.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to drive consensus on the best solution to business problems and the delivery of new solutions and enhancements.
  • Define tangible use cases that align desired technology output to commercial objectives.
  • Recommend business process and system changes to improve efficiency and business outcomes.
  • Ensure clear communication between business stakeholders and IT technical teams.
  • Improve the business analysis function through best practices, process management, mentoring, and education.
  • Manage monthly or quarterly release processes, prioritize changes, and ensure high quality requirements and testing.
  • Lead business requirements gathering and liaise with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and signed off prior to development commencement.

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration or Computer Information Systems preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience is required
  • Extensive knowledge of medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry and basic knowledge of adjacent areas in terms of processes, organization, products and IS requirements highly preferred
  • Demonstrated acumen in procurement business processes is preferred
  • Experience working with business leaders is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and control required
  • Experience with process mapping is required.
  • Experience documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format is required.
  • Experience understanding, evaluating, and recommending changes to business processes are required.
  • Expertise of Agile Development and formal Project management methodologies is preferred.
  • Experience developing strategic business process methodologies to drive collaboration and business results preferred
  • Experience with project management and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies is preferred.
