This opportunity is for Military personnel who are current participants of the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program or are participants of the Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 1-2022.
This BT Program Manager will be responsible for coordinated program management of transformational and strategic cross-cutting initiatives to realize benefits and controls not available from managing projects individually to ensure we achieve our VCG strategic objectives. You will act as a strategic initiative subject matter expert (SME) and serve as a team-lead/mentor to others within the program groups. This position is responsible for all aspects of strategic program management and implementation. This position works directly with the SVP, Directors, and teams across the Verizon Consumer Group.
What we’re looking for...
Management of complex, interrelated projects and programs in a coordinated way to obtain benefits.
Partner with cross-functional team members, key stakeholders, and business owners/sponsors to ensure program outcomes align with our strategic goals & objectives.
Support program team(s) with defining and managing cross-organizational roadmaps, identifying and managing interdependencies between projects/programs, and monitoring progress to ensure strategic goals & objectives and delivery objectives are met.
Proactive identification, tracking, and reporting of issues, risks, and interdependencies, as well as facilitation of efforts for early remediation.
Synchronize information to accurately and effectively communicate across scope of program(s) with clear accountability and transparency across the teams and business stakeholders, including: status/progress, success criteria, risks/issues, budgets, and resources.
Ensure all projects are aligned with established strategy and keep team members supplied with the information they need to deliver work that is on strategy and on deadline.
Create dynamic executive presentations including supporting the development of the organizational narrative along to drive the Verizon Consumer Group teams portfolio and benefits.
Manage timelines and have your finger on the pulse of all program details so you are the one person who knows the status of any deliverable at a given point in time.
Project manage executive readouts and key initiatives from the leadership team.
Provide strategic recommendations to senior leaders on key strategic business decisions.
Develop streamlined processes to ensure success across the team and for additional business / channel partners.
Monitoring projects and overseeing project managers to ensure goals are met.
Coordinate and facilitate meetings with stakeholders to discuss program status and goals.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Must be a current participant of the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program or of the Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 1-2022.
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience with program management deploying and delivering complex solutions.
Experience collaborating across different functional areas and across all levels.
Experience managing and executing strategic communication plans across organizations.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex interrelated programs.
Willingness to travel.
Even better if you have:
Proven leadership skills & capabilities.
Advanced skills in G-Suite, including Slides, Sheets, and Docs.
Experience in the VCG CX organization or VCG BT.
Lean Six Sigma black belt certification.
Ability to pinpoint high level priorities and communicate the high level details.
Advanced time management and analytical skills.
Exceptional skills created executive level presentations.
Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Strategic and analytical ability; skilled at collecting and analyzing data to make appropriate process/business decisions/recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to deal with conflict and bring about resolution.
Strong communication skills to effectively present to various audiences.
Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
