What you will do:

The business development manager is responsible for developing business cases and sourcing new products, companies, technologies, and intellectual property that meet the business unit’s strategic initiatives.

  • Identify companies, products, technologies, and intellectual property that fits the strategic business focus
  • Execute field due diligence and voice of the customer through sales channels and key opinion leaders to fully understand the opportunity
  • Partner with Market Insights and third-party market research companies to execute primary and secondary research and surveys
  • Develop business professional executive summaries, presentations, and business plans
  • Partner with groups such as divisional Business Development, Sales, Marketing, R&D, regulatory, and OUS business partners to identify viable acquisition opportunities
  • Support the creation, communication, and execution of BU Business Development Strategy
  • Develop global market segment assessments and identify opportunities
  • Plans, directs and coordinates the external market analysis for product acquisitions
  • Responsible for development of processes related to conducting due diligence and BD in general to ensure BD knowledge is scalable and best practices are shared across Division
  • Key participant in BU Product and Financial roadmap creation and communication
  • Support development of projected expense budgets
  • Submits periodic reports on areas of responsibility

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (emphasis in marketing, finance, engineering or related discipline preferred)
  • MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of work experience required
  • 5+ years exposure to Sales, Marketing, Operations, R&D, or Finance preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience and exposure to Sales, Marketing, Operations, R&D, and Finance
  • Previous experience in Marketing / Product Management
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience in successfully developing and introducing new products
  • Experience and proven track record in developing and implementing Marketing strategies
  • Experience in recruitment, selection, and development of products and services to achieve strategic objectives
  • Previous experience in Marketing / Product Management
