What You Will Do

The Product Development Manager will perform project and personnel oversight for new product development projects at Sage Products (Stryker Medical Cary).

  • You will manage all New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring timelines, budgets and deliverables are met
  • Make strategic decisions on long-term and short-term project selection
  • Develop team of 4-6 engineering staff, ensuring talented employees are attracted, selected, retained, and developed. Determine the future structure of the team.
  • Communicate regularly with senior NPD leaders to provide updates on appropriate aspects of projects, process, and people
  • Represent Sage NPD department when interfacing with business partners, including Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, senior leadership, and other Stryker business units

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 6+ years of experience in R&D, quality or manufacturing, including experience in product development from concept to launch
  • Experience from a regulated industry is desirable
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated project management or people management experience preferred
