The Learning and Development Associate is responsible for managing the day-day activities related to our onboarding programs. This role will work closely with L&D leaders to ensure all programs are scheduled appropriately, commuincations are sent timely and our survey strategy is executed. The L&D Associate will also be responsible for assisting with planning, scoping and managing the deliverables related to internal projects; tracking progress against timelines, resolving risks/issues and updating project changes. The role will also support L&D analysis process by assisting in the gathering and aggregating of data to be reviewed by leadership and disseminated to the business.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain L&D process and procedure content to ensure consistency of execution among all L&D colleagues
  • Maintain onboarding program schedules, including the assignment of L&D Specialists to training or educational sessions
  • Communicate changes/updates in onboarding program schedules to appropriate business stakeholders
  • Participate in cross-departmental meetings related to onboarding and training of our new colleagues to ensure a level of excellence in new colleague experience
  • Execute the L&D onboarding program survey strategy by maintaining survey questions and data within the designated platform, retrieve and aggregate data to be reviewed by L&D leaders
  • Assist with tracking KPIs and team goals related to onboarding programs and provide updates to L&D leaders
  • Create and manage project plans and deliverables for small to medium projects under the direction of L&D leaders
  • Assist L&D leaders to mitigate risks to internal projects and communicate to external stakeholders as appropriate
  • Assist L&D leaders with maintaining the Learning Request project tracking platform
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested

Required Qualifications:

  • Certificate or Associates degree in Organizational Development, Analytics, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a business-related field
  • 2+ years of related experience in program or project management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with survey and experience platforms such as Qualtrics
  • Experience with management platforms such as SharePoint and SalesForce
  • Experience in measuring effectiveness and outcomes of L&D Programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, professional writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills working with colleagues and other departments
  • Solid customer service and organizational skills
  • Independent thinker with ability to work autonomously
  • Results-oriented; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple time-sensitive projects while focusing on the quality of work delivered

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to establish a home office workspace
  • Ability to manipulate laptop computer (or similar hardware) between office and site settings
  • Ability to view screen and enter data into a laptop computer (or similar hardware) within a standard time period
  • Ability to communicate with Clients and team members including use of cellular phone or comparable communication device
  • Ability to stay stationary for extended time periods (1 - 2) hours
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $18.17 to $32.26. The hourly range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $20.00 to $35.53. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
