Senior Specialist Business Consulting

Under the direction of the Business Operations Systems Excellence team within Global Procurement, the incumbent is responsible for interacting with stakeholders globally to execute activities using systems, process and information to optimize efficiencies and gain insight into business performance, support fact-driven decisions, and communicate opportunities for sustained improvement. More specifically, the incumbent is expected to understand the alignment between business strategy and systems/process/information requirements and develop options assessment and recommendations in order to improve customer service, reduce cost and risk and improve compliance, policies, process design and service levels.

Primary Activities

Responsible for business support activities across Ariba Sourcing, Contracting and Buying and Invoicing Modules. This includes comprehensive understanding of the interdependencies across all of the Ariba modules to identify change and impact to the business.

  • Responsible for Access Request (SAP GRC) approvals for SAP ECC Procurement and e-Sourcing roles. Also supports questions regarding appropriate access based on job function/responsibilities within Procurement organization as the role owner.

  • Responsible for Ariba Contract Template maintenance. Collaborate with Legal and Procurement stakeholders on changes needed in the Contract Templates.

  • Responsible for Ariba Sourcing Template maintenance. Collaborate with Procurement and Central Functions stakeholders on changes needed for templates used in the RFx Sourcing process.

  • Support End User Ariba Reporting needs. Responsible for P2P Dashboard contents and provide support for business requests of Ariba data across the various modules.

  • Responsible the Commodity Code/Material Code change management process and governance. Coordinate requests for new material codes / changes to existing codes with the various functions – Finance, Tax, Information Technology and Business stakeholders. Maintain master files that are used in configuration of the Ariba application.

  • Support SAP ECC e-Sourcing and Ariba for Direct Material Purchasing Contracts based on Service Now support requests and the mitigation of issues with Ariba and ECC Tiered Pricing contracts.

  • Execute process improvements to optimize utilization of the tools and educate stakeholders and other support organizations such as AMS and BSC.

  • Align with other members of the production support team to understand downstream and upstream impacts or changes to ensure continuity of the end to end process.

  • Responsible for Ariba Guided Buying administration as back up to the primary owner

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following preferred fields:

    • Computer Science

    • Information Systems

    • Finance and Accounting

    • Business Analytics

  • Bachelor’s Degree within a field demonstrating technical competencies.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • An analytical problem solver: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work with incomplete or imperfect information.

  • Persistent and driven: Demonstrated characteristics of a forward thinker and self-motivator that thrives on new challenges and adapts to learning new knowledge.

  • Collaborative: demonstrated experience applying excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills working with global and cross-functional teams towards common goals, realizing that the best results from the combined efforts of diverse teams.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Knowledge of supply chain and/or procurement activities.

  • Understanding of Procurement Master Data and impacts on end to end process

  • Ability to both think critically as well as communicate effectively with leadership across a global audience.

  • Knowledge of Reporting tools.

  • Understanding of financial modules within ERP platforms e.g. SAP ECC

  • Working knowledge of SAP Ariba system

  • Basic understanding of finance and cash flow with respect to corporate purchasing.

  • Strong Microsoft application skills.

  • Effective in report writing and presenting of findings

Expected salary range:

$97,680.00 - $153,700.00
