Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Project Delivery Specialist, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering in Lake Mary, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Lead the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation, and identify and mitigate process and technology risks. Perform assessments of existing information systems, identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, and estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Design sub-components of larger application systems, integrate software applications with each other, and continuously optimize the system structure to improve stability and performance. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation.

  • 80% travel required nationally.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:
  • Working across all phases of the Waterfall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to design, develop, test and implement Mainframe and Web-based application solutions for enterprise-level clients;
  • Analyzing and documenting current-state systems, processes and environments to support project design of future-state/to-be systems, processes and environments utilizing IBM Mainframe File Manager, IBM IMS (FMIMS-File Manager Information Management System), IBM DB2 (FMDB2-File Manager DB2), SAR, BMC Control-M, BMC MainView, IBM Spufi, and IBM FileNet;
  • Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, analyze client requirements, and translate requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that meet client needs utilizing Jira, MS SharePoint, IBM FileNet, Confluence, MS Visio, and Snow;
  • Using ChangeMan, CA Endevor, IBM Spufi, IBM PRF (Program Restart Facility), IBM Fault Analyzer, IBM tableBASE, IBM Db2 QMF (Query Management Facility), and SQL Developer (Structured Query Language) to support, participate in, and lead the design and development of project solutions;
  • Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverables status to ensure timely project delivery and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders using Jira, MS SharePoint, and Confluence;
  • Coordinating the project activities of onshore and offshore team members to ensure timely and quality completion of project deliverables;
  • Using IBM Rational ClearQuest and RTC (Rational Team Concert) to support, perform, and oversee Unit testing to ensure successful design and implementation of project solutions; and
  • Designing and delivering user manuals and trainings for solutions to ensure successful implementation, adoption and maintenance in client environments using Jira, MS SharePoint, Confluence, and MS Visio.
