We are seeking an experienced and goal-oriented Project Manager to play a vital role as part the Program Management Office (PMO). In this position, you will ensure the on-time and on-budget delivery of assigned projects, while exemplifying our core values of Integrity, Accountability, People, and Performance. This role is with our Stryker Medical Acute Care business unit, focusing on supporting major projects associated with our existing products.
  • Build and foster an inclusive and enthusiastic project team environment.
  • Lead and influence the project team in achieving project outcomes and escalate when not achieving desired outcomes.
  • Drive development of the Project and Program Management Center of Excellence by gathering and analyzing information from individual projects successes and struggles and sharing findings for suggested improvements with relevant stakeholders.
  • Influence project performance to be able to recommend schedule changes, cost adjustments, or resource additions as needed to deliver on project commitments.
  • Provide timely and accurate information and status updates to leadership throughout the project.
  • Create, monitor, and control project plans including
    • Scope
    • Schedule / Burn downs / Task Lists / Resources
    • Business Case / Capital Equipment Request / Budget
    • Risk Assessments / Mitigation / Contingency Planning
What you need
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering or Engineering technology preferred)
  • At least 4 years of work experience including 2+ years of practical project management experience required
  • Experience in Product Development preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, track, facilitate, and close projects using applicable tools (Gantt, Burn downs, etc.) on time, within budget, and while controlling scope
  • Demonstrated outstanding organizational and technical knowledge
  • Must be able to analyze and correct complex process and/or system issues of a broad scope using independent judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, collaborative team work, and negotiation skills
  • Experience with medical device quality systems, preferred
