The Senior Project Manager role will lead impactful corporate initiatives for the company, projects that integrate acquired companies/assets or IT solutions, and commercial business initiatives of the Division. This individual plays a critical role in driving projects forward in a predictable and expedient manner, while staying accountable to timeline, budget, resources, and risk management. The Senior Project Manager has direct responsibility for keeping the stakeholders and senior leadership teams informed of project status. Through their personal leadership, influence, and communication, they must inspire confidence in the team’s ability to execute. This team member is a proven and experienced leader who is able to quickly and effectively deliver solutions for our business to enable us to achieve our mission of making healthcare better.

What you will do:

Project Management & Team Leadership

  • Leads project teams by providing technical and project management expertise to bring new solutions to our Division and its business units.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with IT function and understand how IT business requirements relate to system functionality and commercial business processes.
  • Understands and implements Corporate guidance into Business Unit level requirements as required.
  • Manages the project timeline, budget, resources, and risks to meet business requirements.
  • Leads project teams of varying size/scale and complexity with strategic focus on the most efficient path to completion. Identifies opportunities during the course of project management and seeks out creative solutions that may be implemented systemically.
  • Serves as a role model of PMO culture and drives accountability across the team. Engages team members and sets direction in a way that delivers results and inspires others.

Strategic Direction & Focus

  • Leverages past experience and knowledge business systems and strategy to become a subject matter expert in our Business Process and synergies across business units.
  • Holds cross-functional team members accountable to providing information needed to evaluate project investments and make key project decisions.
  • Develops detailed business plans for proposed projects and presents them to the Senior Leadership Team for evaluation and approval.
  • Partners with project sponsors and leaders to ensure project remains aligned with business strategy and needs and recommends pivots as needed.

Stakeholder Management

  • Direct responsibility for keeping the stakeholders and leadership teams informed of project status. Instills confidence in stakeholders within the business through proven track record of project completion.
  • Able to communicate effectively to all levels and functions within the organization. Builds credibility through effective and proactive relationship management and stakeholder management.

Risk Management

  • Proactively manages and mitigates project risks. Facilitates timely and data-driven decision-making to support the project timeline and budget, engaging stakeholders and leaders, as needed.
  • Predictive understanding of impacts of decisions throughout organization.

What you need

  • B.S. in a scientific or engineering field preferred; business, finance or IS field will be considered in conjunction with experience
  • 6+ years of overall experience.
  • 3+ years of project management experience.
  • Relevant graduate degrees and certifications (i.e. PMP) will be considered in lieu of minimum experience requirements.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment; acute attention to detail; knowledge of medical device quality systems, manufacturing and design controls is preferred.
  • Proven track-record: experience successfully completing multiple projects delivering products or solutions as a project manager.
  • Successful experience with integration of business IS systems; ERP (SAP) experience is preferred .
  • Strong organizational, change management, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow; adaptable and able to navigate ambiguity & project obstacles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project; experience creating and regularly maintaining project timelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint or equivalent; experience creating and delivering effective visuals to communicate project information.
