We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to join the Regulated Immunogenicity and Molecular Assay group within PDMB Bioanalytics at our company. The successful candidate will initiate an independent research project to explore new approach to characterize drug product for one of the major vaccine pipelines at our company. This position will enable broad collaborations within our company, ranging from single B cell antibody cloning, antibody sequence and evolution lineage analysis, as well as antibody characterization including functional antibody assays and epitope mapping. The expectation is that this work will open the possibilities for better characterization of vaccine product so that the best process of drug product can be selected for the best clinical immunogenicity. This is a novel direction which could have a big impact across the industry with publications in high-tier scientific journals.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Designing and executing complex cellular, molecular and immunological assays. Engage with peers and develop new internal and external collaborations to execute the assays and gain the data. Communicate results clearly with colleagues and the external scientific community through presentations and publications in leading peer-reviewed journals.
Education Minimum Requirement:
- Candidates must currently hold a PhD or will you have completed your PhD within the next year.
Required Experience and Skills:
- PhD in life sciences, preferably immunology, cell biology or microbiology, with fluency in immunological principles and infectious diseases
- Motivated to solve complex problems by undertaking innovative approaches and applying state-of-the-art technologies.
- Proficient in cell/tissue culture and assay development;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Ability to work with viruses, bacteria and potentially infectious samples from humans and animals (BSL-2) is preferred
- Multiparameter flow cytometry, multiplex assay platforms assay development is highly desired
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with peers within and across departments.
- Bioinformatics experience such as antibody sequence and lineage analysis is preferred.
- Effective organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Experience training and mentoring junior scientists
- Working knowledge using standard data analysis tools such as Spotfire, FlowJo, Graph Pad Prism etc., and Microsoft Office programs.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
