Eaton is currently seeking a CorporateDevelopment & Planning Associate to join our team. This position is basedat our Beachwood, Ohio facilityPrimary Function:The primary function ofthis position is to actively contribute to Eatons corporate development andcorporate strategy initiatives. These activities shape some of thecompanys biggest decisions and require thought leadership and strong financialacumen, strategic thinking, and communication skills.Essential Functions:+ Conducts analysis to understand and frame thinking onkey strategic issues to drive strategy for the entire corporation+ Studies companies / markets / industries and assessesattractiveness to determine areas for acquisition or divestiture andrecommends appropriate action+ Leads industry analysis and target identification+ Develops compelling materials to advance and/oradvocate our corporate strategy+ Develops financial models for valuations, benchmarking,and planning purposes+ Supports presentation of valuation and strategy work tosenior leadership+ Performs detailed valuations on acquisition /divestiture opportunities+ Leads due diligence efforts across corporate functionaland business operating teams+ Supports contract negotiations+ Supports transition plan to integration teamsQualificationsBasic Qualifications+ Master of BusinessAdministration (MBA) from an accredited university+ Must be legallyauthorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipPreferred Requirements+ Top tier MBA stronglypreferred+ 1 year or more ofpost-MBA work experience in corporate development, corporate strategicplanning, consulting or investment bankingPosition Criteria+ Demonstrated ability tocomplete complex financial analysis+ Demonstrated advancedstrategic agility and business acumen+ Demonstrated workingknowledge of valuation models and methodologies+ Demonstrated trackrecord of project leadership skills and experienceWe make what matters work.
