Eaton in Marshall, MI has an opening for a Technician supporting our Torque Control Prototype Operations.The Torque Control Products division is part of the Eaton's Vehicle group. TCP is a leading global supplier of differentials to the automotive and alternative markets. The successful candidate will work with prototype lab manager to support prototype assembly and testing activities.The main responsibilities of the Lab Technician are: Prototype product performance and durability testing Prototype product assembly and teardown analysis Support Engineering with process development Test systems commissioning and setup Actively supports the process for design changes to improve quality, performance, cost reduction, and standardization through analysis of designs and problem solving techniques. QualificationsBasic Qualifications:+ High School diploma or equivalent certification from an accredited facility with three years of experience in similar field and demonstrated capabilities or+ Associates degree in a mechanical/engineering discipline from an accredited university and one year of applicable experience or+ Bachelors degree in a mechanical/engineering discipline from an accredited university.+ Relocation is not provided for this role, candidates must be located within 50 miles of Marshall, MI+ Candidates must be eligible to work in the US currently and in the future without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:+ Automotive mechanical knowledge+ Basic machining skills (Mill/Lathe)+ Measurement capability using calipers, micrometers, etc.+ Test operations and reporting experience+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
