Do it here.What youll be doing...The Data Center Operations Engineer is responsible for the oversight, budgeting, and planning of all critical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs or arrangements for repairs of all building operating systems on the site. Must be available for after hour emergency calls. Provide support for the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) equipment, along with all miscellaneous building systems.You will assist with budget development, monthly reports, and conduct annual reviews.You willcoordinate with internal/external vendors for all project rollout. Expected to perform their duties with minimum supervision, and participate in cross-functional projects as scheduled. The engineer works with the team to troubleshoot, upgrade, and administer multiple systems. You will coordinate and oversee all equipment installations and upgrades and will also be responsible for the oversight and management of building floor plans and people space allocations, electrical switch gear, UPS systems, chillers, generators, HVAC systems, back up battery power, and other equipment associated with data centers.+ Managing all preventative maintenance, necessary maintenance and repairs to the buildings mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems.+ Oversee and schedule general preventative maintenance on the mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. This involves management and periodic testing of the equipment. These systems include, but are not limited to; air handling units, re-circulating air systems, water pumping systems, cooling plant and plumbing system components.+ Oversee general building maintenance inspections as needed.+ Oversee the proper utilization of building space by commissioning appropriate studies, managing seating charts, and monitoring facility usage.+ Be responsive to tenant requests in the areas of:safety, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and environmental needs through direct personal contact and work order systems.+ Prepare and maintain maintenance logs and records though online preventative maintenance and work order software systems.+ Read and interpret single line diagrams and MOPs (Method of Procedures).+ Coordinate contractor, tenant and management approvals for work that require the use of an outside contractor. Maintain log of work order details.+ Perform all assigned work so as to ensure the safety of the buildings tenants and the continuous operation of the site.+ Be familiar with and conform to all written operating procedures and regulatory complianceassociated with the site.+ Maintain organized building files and compliance documents.What were looking for...You are conversant with the maintenance and upkeep of industrial buildings in areas such as:mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems. Additionally, you have working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, life safety, fire protection and security systems to ensure proper operations andthe abilityto act upon any conditions that are out of the ordinary.Youll need to have:+ Associates degree or two or more years of work experience.+ Three or more years of relevant work experience.+ Willingness to work flexible hours including nights/weekends and support on-call duties.Even better if you have:+ A Bachelors degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Management, Construction, or Operations Management.+ Experience building operations or general engineering experience.+ Ability to handle multiple projects and make critical decisions.+ Ability to complete required safety classes that pertain to specific job duties.+ Strong knowledge of MEPs (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and how they support a mission critical facility regarding power and cooling.+ Strong knowledge of data center systems and electrical power.+ Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities simultaneously.+ Strong vendor coordination experience.+ General knowledge in the use of electronic and power test equipment.+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Power Point, Visio, MS Project, Excel, and Gmail and Google Workplace / G Suite applications.+ Strong experience working with building automation systems (BAS).+ Strong experience working with Eaton Switch Gear equipment, ASCO ATS gear, Square D and Eaton breakers, Trane Centrifugal and Air Cooled Chiller systems, Trane air handlers, MGE UPS systems, Liebert CRAC units, DC power systems, and Caterpillar generators.+ An understanding of cabling and network architecture.+ An understanding of low voltage devices and IP configuration; switches, meters, controllers, etc.+ CFC certified in high pressure discipline.Equal Employment OpportunityWe're proud to be an equal opportunity employer - and celebrate our employees' differences, including race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, and Veteran status.
