This position supports Executives for Oral Product Development and Engineering Technology and their teams as part of Drug Product Development. The senior administrative associate will be responsible for accomplishing highly diverse and sometimes complex administrative tasks, activities, and projects.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Maintaining calendars
  • Arranging travel
  • Coordinating meetings
  • Processing travel and expense reports
  • Managing departmental files and mail
  • Ordering and stocking office and laboratory supplies and equipment
  • Planning and coordination of complex meetings with multiple stakeholders.
  • This position involves high level contacts and exposure to sensitive information, necessitating considerable use of diplomacy, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Occasional site travel may be required


  • HS or GED required
  • 7+ years of administrative or related experience
  • Highly successful professional with experience working with/for executives
  • Proven skills in prioritizing and multitasking, as well as the ability to remain poised and focused in a fast-paced working environment
  • Ability to work effectively across organizational levels and functions to complete objectives
  • Be able to coordinate and collaborate with individuals outside BMS as there will be work with external vendors and service providers
  • Ability to manage and coordinate information with a high level of confidentiality
  • Positive and proactive team player and relationship builder with strong administrative capabilities
  • Ability to interface with all levels of BMS management and external partners/vendors in a professional manner.
  • Organized with close attention to detail and follow up
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Highly proficient in technologies and applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, T&E, Workday, SAP, Concur, etc as well as a willingness to learn in detail other applications used by the department
  • Working knowledge of BMS company policies a must
