Leidos is currently seeking a full-time Administrative Coordinator to support the Deployment Health Research Department at the Naval Health Research Center in San Diego, CA. This position will provide coordination, implementation, and maintenance for departmental operations and provide administrative support to the Program Manager, Department Head, and departmental staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sensitivity and discretion in dealing with confidential matters.
Due the COVID-19 pandemic, we are encouraging a hybrid work model, with the employee working a few days (as needed) in the office in San Diego, CA.
Due to federal contract restrictions, candidate must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Position Responsibilities
Coordinate new hire onboarding and offboarding at the Naval Health Center
Manage and update departmental files and tracking systems, including phone lists, staff accountability records, equipment inventory, and on-site schedules
Lead departmental contractor recalls as required by NHRC
Assist contractors with completing the NHRC Travel Authorization Request forms and submit them in GEARS
Serve as the building safety monitor; submit and follow-up on command service request tickets for repairs
Provide support to research study teams as needed; acquire supplies through NHRC, research products and costs, mail packages and letters;
Maintain calendars and meeting requests
Handle confidential information
Required Qualifications:
Associate’s degree
Minimum of 5 years of general work experience with at least 1 year experience in a research setting or military environment
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
