Job Description

The Biostatistics and Research Decision Sciences (BARDS) organization partners in strategic design and analysis to enable informed decision making in the discovery, development and delivery of our innovative products.

The Senior Associate will report to the AVP and Head of BARDS Statistical Programming. The Statistical Programming organization is a global team of nearly 300 staff providing analysis and reporting support for every phase of drug development in partnership with scientists across the Research & Development Division .​ The Senior Associate will also support 2-3 other Executive Directors in the BARDS organization.

The primary activities include but are not limited to the following:

  • General administrative duties

  • Coordination and performance of multiple tasks while understanding the project principles and technical skills related to own work assignments; work priorities and activities are reviewed with supervisor as necessary

  • Completion of work assignments requiring analytical ability, independent judgment, creativity and problem solving skills

  • Management of calendars, including appointments, meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements for the team

  • Supportive of Collaboration workspaces

  • Assists and coordinates special projects within the division/area

  • Supportive of staffing and onboarding of employees

  • Provides functional guidance to workgroup consisting of non-exempt employees   

This job also requires the following skills:

  • Excellent communication skills that enable effective interaction with our company's executives and internal/external clients both on-site and remotely to maintain workflow.

  • The ability to coordinate and perform multiple tasks while understanding the project needs and technical skills related to one’s own work assignments.

  • The ability to work independently with work priorities and activities performed and reviewed with little supervision.

Education:

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED

  • Preferred: Advanced education or certifications such as Certified Administrative Professional, Project Management Professional Certification, Professional in Human Resources Certification etc.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years Administrative Assistant experience

  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams) and other internal systems

  • Demonstrated experience scheduling and coordinating complex, multi-leg domestic and international travel

  • Experience processing Visa/Passport Applications

  • SAP experience processing Expense Reports, Purchase Orders, Payment Requests. Vendor Add Forms, as well as run reports within SAP

  • Ability to handle and prioritize a large number of simultaneous assignments

  • Event Planning/Coordination

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

  • Background in Budget/Finance Management
